Terms of Use

The service
TomTrove provides translation, explanation, rewriting, conversation summaries and spaced review, through the website tomtrove.com, the browser extension, the iPhone app (including its keyboard) and the Apple Watch app. By using these services you agree to these terms.
Accounts
- Each account is for one person. You are responsible for keeping your login details safe.
- You may not make bulk calls with automated programs, resell the service, or bypass the daily usage limits. Accounts that do so may be restricted or suspended.
Free and Pro
- The Free and Pro plans each have daily usage limits. The current numbers are on the pricing page and may change as the service changes.
- Pro is a monthly or yearly subscription that renews automatically. A first subscription may include a free trial; if you cancel before the trial ends, you are not charged.
- Subscriptions bought on the website are paid through Stripe and managed or cancelled in Settings. Subscriptions bought on iPhone are paid through Apple and managed or cancelled in the iPhone's Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions.
- After you cancel, Pro stays active until the end of the current period. Periods already paid for are generally not refunded; refunds for Apple purchases are handled by Apple.
Content
- What you type and record belongs to you. We process it only to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Policy.
- Translations, explanations and rewrites are generated by AI and may contain errors. Check them yourself when it matters.
- Before recording other people, follow local law and get their consent.
Changes and termination
We may change the service or these terms; significant changes will be posted on the website. You can stop using the service at any time and ask for your account to be deleted. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as is, and we are not liable for indirect damages.
